Privacy notice

This notice describes the owner-only DeenSense Private Backups tool, not the separate DeenSense learner application.

Google data used

The connection checks the authorising Google account’s email address and the identity and write capability of the owner-selected backup folder. It uses file identifiers, names, sizes, checksums and download/upload metadata needed to store and verify encrypted recovery archives. It accesses only items made available under drive.file.

Archives and credentials

Archives may contain approved DeenSense application, configuration, content and test-environment recovery data. They are encrypted before upload. The archive recovery password is held separately in the owner’s password manager, not uploaded alongside the archive. The Google refresh credential is encrypted for the designated hosted service and protected by restricted server access. Google receives encrypted archive bytes and necessary file metadata.

Use and sharing

The tool uses this access only for backup, retrieval verification and controlled retirement. It does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with advertisers. The owner controls the existing Drive folder’s sharing. Backup objects are not made public. Server hosting and Google Drive provide the storage/processing needed for this operation; this page does not claim those providers never process technical service metadata.

Retention and removal

Backups are kept according to the recorded recovery inventory. The tool refuses to add further backup sets at its configured safety limit rather than silently deleting recovery copies. Retirement is a deliberate operation that checks the relevant server and Drive copies and records completion. Revoking Google access stops future API use; it does not itself delete existing archives. Existing archives must be retired through the controlled process.

Control and contact

The owner can revoke the connection in their Google Account third-party connections settings and contact iqbalma86@gmail.com about access, retention or removal. Access is not requested from invited learners. Any change to the tool’s Google-data use must be reflected in this notice before use.
